Basic Editing
Here we provide the administrator with a few different options to customize their users experience.
- Banner Image: Allows you to upload a .jpg image to use for your banner
- Background and Text color: Allows you to change the color of the message background and the text color.
- Email Subject: This is the text that will be displayed in the subject line of the email.
- Message Body: This is where the body of the email will be displayed.
In the Message Body is where you will be able to customize the email’s text to show your sites own personality. When finished you can click on the Preview button to see how the changes will look in the email. The Make Changes button will then apply your changes and the Reset to Default button will restore the email to the network default look and style.
We do have some more advanced options to help in the editing process. If you click on the Show ONECODE text it will display a list of variable names you can insert into the email template. These variables have unique values that pertain to your site. Just copy the code and paste it into the template. When the email is sent out it will chage to be the variable value. An example would be how [USER_NAME] will contain the user name of the person recieving the email. This gives a more personal feel to the messeges that are sent out.
Our other advanced option is the Toggle Advanced Editor. Clicking on this will change the message body into an html style message body for those who want a deeper level of customization. Just click on Toggle Advanced Editor again to change it back.
