Overview

The Group Activity module summarizes activity for groups a user is a member of. It is important to note that the module shows a random selection of groups, not necessarily the groups with the most recent activity. This is more of an issue if a user is a member of more groups than is set to be displayed in the module.

Module View Setting

There are two views for this module that significantly affect the way it is displayed.

The first view is called Horizontal. This is the most concise and works well in smaller spaces. For each group displayed in this view, the following information is provided:

• Group Avatar (links to group profile page)
• Group name (links to group profile page)
• Number of members
• Number of blog posts
• Number of photos
• Number of videos
• Number of calendar events

The second view is called Vertical. This view works best in a wider column. Instead of the strict summary in the Horizontal view, this view provides more information.

• Group Avatar (links to group profile page)
• Group name (links to group profile page)
• Title of most recent blog post
• Title of most recent photo uploaded
• Title of most recent video uploaded
• Title of the first upcoming event of the week
